Indian Rupee Slips at 61.15 vs. the American Currency

rupeeNew Delhi, Wednesday, March 12 – The currency of India shed 21 paise to arrive at 61.15 in opposition to the greenback during morning deals today at the Interbank Foreign Exchange market as a result of rise of the US dollar in opposition to euro out of the country

More than a few Forex traders stated that augmented demand for the American currency from importers and a feeble opening of the domestic stock market too kept pressure on the Indian rupee.

In addition to this, by 9 paise, the Indian currency had ended lower to 60.94 each dollar in trade of Wednesday which matched with a plunge in domestic shares post five consecutive sessions of augments.

In the intervening time, the 30-share index lost footing by 20.59 points, or 0.09 %, arriving at 21,805.83 during morning deals on March 12.
