movie this weekNew Delhi, Wednesday, June 17 – ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahani’, which is a Mohit Suri directional released across the country last Friday, started slow at the box office in the opening weekend. Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan starrer flick was anticipated to create a magic and make cine buffs to sense the magical feel of romance once again.

But a few things do not happen in a way one thinks before bringing the blueprint on a platform. Given that several viewers enjoyed having a great time laughing inside the movie theatres watching ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ and ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’, the lately released romantic drama featuring Rajkummar Rao, who rose to fame through Queen’, Ragini MMS, Talaash and Kai Po Che, in a crucial role is failing to draw attention.

Sara Khan and Madhurima Tuli did justice with the offered role. Amala Akkineni was also good in a cameo appearance. Most of the sound tracks, including the title song by Arijit Singh and “Zaroori Tha” by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, are pleasant on ears. Everything is fine with script and the way all sequences are shot but perhaps previously released movies are eating the share of ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahani’ thanks to a better & outstanding story.

As per latest information over the collection of first weekend, HAK has earned INR 20 crore. This may increase but with a sluggish pace as many interesting movies are slated to be released this week as well. Unquestionably, dropping profits and feeble responses of viewers are adequate to tell the film hasn’t met the soaring expectations.
