Second Edition of Indian Idol Junior Ends but Hopes Up from Talented Kids with Melodious Voices

idolNew Delhi, Friday, September 18 – Season 2 of Indian Idol Junior lately came to an end. Ananya Sritam Nanda from Bhubaneswar, Odisha, won the winner’s trophy of ‘Indian Idol Junior’, which was concluded on September 13. The second edition not only entertained audiences for over three months but also took them by surprise that how such young kids could sing with so much feel.

Vaishnav Girish from Thrissur in Kerala though did not make to the top 3 but won a number of hearts through the kind of variations he displayed in his singing. Nithyashree Venkataramanan from Chennai, Tamil Nadu and Nahid Afrin from Biswanath Chariali, Assam were the runner-ups. Despite the fact that they didn’t win the show but it is also true that at the end, there will be only one winner. If truth be told then all those who were able to reach to top 13 were brilliant. The Grand Finale was a grand affair. Veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha and king of comedy, Kapil Sharma – who is set to mark his appearance on the silver screen, were the guests.

Melodious voices of the teenagers surprised them to a great extent. The 14-year-old Odisha girl Ananya was brilliant right from the beginning. Several children from different corners auditioned to get the golden ticket from and Shalmali Kholgade, Salim Merchant and Vishal Dadlani. When the singing reality show was aired during late May, it wasn’t expected that talented kids will the sweetness to a great extent.  Rajasthani boy Moti Khan, Sreelakshmi Belmannu from Karnataka, Ajay Brijwasi, Yumna Ajin, Surender Singh Panwar, Vidhi Jaswal, Subhankar Sarkar, Niharika Nath, and Ranita Banerjee gave tough competition to each other.

Entertainment quotient was taken up by these talented kids whether they sung alone or in group. Ananya received Rs. 10 lakh from Sony Entertainment Television after being declared winner. Various other prizes from sponsors were also distributed to her and the runner-ups. Despite the fact that the show has come to an end, it is for sure that what growing kids have done on this platform will be remembered for several years to come. The graph of expectations will be high in the coming seasons too. Whoever wins or loses in a competition, it is certain that the participants will do good in future as well and none knows they do playback singing for eminent actors of the film industry.
